The “adegas” , built from black basalt stone, are scattered across the island, representing a long history of wine-making and resourcefulness from the locals. Many have been transformed into cozy accommodations, tasting rooms, or family-run wineries.

One of the most picturesque areas of Pico is Cachorro, a small coastal region known for its dramatic lava rock formations, ocean views, and charming wine cellars nestled among the volcanic landscape.

This region is home to unique natural rock arches and formations shaped by centuries of volcanic activity, making it a perfect spot for both wine lovers and nature/geology enthusiasts.

Our Cachorro Wine-Tasting location provides a rustic yet inviting atmosphere, where visitors can enjoy premium wines and breathtaking Atlantic sunsets.

To complement the experience we also have a vineyard & terrace surrounding the Adega, resulting in a total imersion of the product (wine) and the producer (vineyard)!
